SUMMARY:January 2025 - Geauga Economic Leadership (G.E.L)
DESCRIPTION:It is known that women are different from men in physiology\, social standing\, and their roles at work and home. This presentation will focus on health considerations of women (physical and mental health) and why women’s health should be addressed separately. Topics will include work-life balance and its effects on health and wellbeing\, workplace violence and bullying\, and reproductive hazards that women face. Additionally\, both employees’ and employers’ roles in hazard prevention will be discussed. \nThis presentation is also relevant for men\, as they often have women in their lives as relatives\, colleagues\, and employees. Understanding these issues can help foster a more supportive environment for women and highlight shared concerns\, such as workplace violence and work-life balance\, which affect everyone. \nCo-sponsored by Geauga Growth Partnership and Kent State University at Geauga. These events are an opportunity to bring business and industry leaders together with our community to network\, learn\, and collaborate. Each event is intended to foster a heightened awareness of business\, industry\, and public services present in Geauga County and to facilitate networking among the members of those sectors.
