Breakout Sessions:
Please choose your top 4 breakout choices. Be advised that if you chose QPR, this will count towards 2 of your 4 sessions.
- 1. Building Trust: The Foundation of Effective Leadership
In today’s workplace, success depends on trust, yet many leaders are never taught how to intentionally build it. This session explores the often-unseen factors that influence how people show up (both conscious and unconscious), communicate, and perform at work that either builds or erodes trust. By understanding the role trust plays in decision-making, collaboration, and culture, leaders can create stronger teams and more effective workplaces. - 2. Fueling Success: Nutrition, Energy & Workplace Wellness
What we eat affects how we lead. This session highlights the connection between nutrition, energy levels, and mental focus, while offering practical tips to support personal well-being and encourage healthy habits in the workplace. - 3. Leading Through Conflict: Turning Challenges into Collaboration
Conflict can be an opportunity for growth when managed effectively. This session provides leaders with tools to address disagreements, facilitate productive conversations, and build stronger working relationships. - 4. Mental Health & Short-Term Disability: A Leader’s Role
Mental health challenges are a leading cause of short-term disability. In this panel discussion with HR and mental health professionals, leaders will gain a better understanding of available resources, policies, and how to support employees navigating these situations. - 5. Supporting Employees Through Addiction & Mental Health Challenges
Leaders may encounter situations where employees struggle with addiction or mental health concerns that affect attendance or performance. This session focuses on responding with empathy while maintaining accountability and connecting employees to appropriate resources. - 6. Understanding Anxiety: Supporting Employees
Under Pressure Anxiety is increasingly common in today’s workplace. This session helps leaders recognize signs of anxiety and provides practical approaches to creating a supportive environment that promotes productivity and well-being. - 7. Emotional Intelligence in Leadership: Managing Highly Emotional Team Members
The training explores how leaders can recognize emotional triggers, listen with empathy, and communicate in ways that de-escalate tension rather than intensify it. Participants learn practical strategies to stay composed under pressure, set healthy boundaries, and guide emotional conversations toward constructive solutions. - 8. QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) for Business and Leadership
QPR is an evidence-based suicide prevention training that will equip employees and leaders with the skills to recognize warning signs of suicide and respond effectively. Similar to CPR, it emphasizes taking quick, supportive action and connecting individuals with professional help. The program also strengthens leadership skills by promoting awareness, supportive communication, and a culture of care in the workplace. Participants who complete the training become certified QPR Gatekeepers.
