Geauga Growth Partnership, in collaboration with Kent State University Geauga Campus, is excited to launch a new Peer Group designed specifically for newly promoted or recently hired supervisors, especially those stepping into a management role for the first time. Designed and facilitated by KSU Geauga professors, Julie Evey, Ph.D. and Velvet Weems-Landingham, Ph.D.

Purpose of Supervisor Peer Group: To provide an ongoing learning opportunity, in which employees who are new to having direct reports, gain skills and knowledge required of their role at work, while sharing and learning in a small cohort of peers.

– Personal report through CliftonStrengths® that defines your specific talents and defines how to use these to make progress toward your goals every day.
– 14 virtual huddles with your peers and expert facilitators from Kent State University

Schedule:
– February 18th, 2025: Kickoff in-person event: 8:00am – 9:30am
– February 25th – March 25th:  Virtual huddles held each Tuesday morning: 8:00am – 9:30am
– April to December. 2025: Monthly one-hour virtual huddles Day and time to be determined by the cohort.

Pricing Per Participant:
GGP Member: $1600
Nonmember: $1750

 Meet the facilitators:

Geauga Growth Partnership Board of Directors is dedicated to providing a positive and respectful environment for all event and training participants. GGP employees, members, guests of members, attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers are expected to observe high standards of behavior and personal ethics in their conduct at any GGP event or training. 

Anyone engaging in inappropriate behavior during these events or trainings will be asked by a GGP representative to discontinue the offensive behavior immediately. Should the behavior continue or if the behavior is deemed severe enough, the individual(s) will be removed from the event or training (without a refund) and may be denied entry to future events or trainings.
